In John 1:11, “Jesus came to His own [the Jews], but those who were His own did not receive Him”. Very few had any interest in following Jesus. Yet right from the very beginning of His public ministry, He was looking for disciples, those that would be willing to learn from Him by accepting His instruction as truth, as rules to live by.
